UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and the Director-General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri signed a new framework agreement on 5 June to reinforce the longstanding cooperation between both institutions. The first such cooperation agreement was signed in 1984 and renewed in 2010.
